It's hard to believe The Flirtations have been around since 1964 - 45 years later on, they're still together in the original formation; sisters Earnestine and Shirley Pearce, and Viola Billups aka Pearly Gates. The Flirtations first formed in 1965 after meeting up in a New York recording studio. They were originally known as a quartet group called The Gypsies with a third sister Betty Pearce and Lestine Johnson in the line up when they scored their first major hit with Jerk It in 1965.

After a string of recent northern soul recordings, their new single Roulette however takes them back to their '80s Hi-NRG hit Earthquake with a bunch of remixes by Laurent Schark (London), Mario Léonard (Montreal) and Ermac (France). The CD-single, packaged in a triple-fold digipac cover, furthermore comes with the original music video included as the last track on the compact disc.

Roulette is a very catchy, upbeat Hi-NRG track sure to appeal to those who yearn for more of the great stylings of the 1980s with an updated sound. Plus with all the remixes on the disc, you'll always have a version that is right for the occasion. This Flirtations CD is a nice surprise indeed!
