Following in the footsteps of I'M SO EXCITED, JUMP and NEUTRON DANCE - The Pointer Sisters were on fire during the mid-to-late eighties.
Richard Perry had the Midas touch and provided the Pointer Sisters some top-notch techno-pop/soul songs and the girls always added solid harmonies.
This album, Hot Together, is one of their most satisfying in my humble opinion. I should also mention that it was not one of their most successful... So take it or leave it.
The opener, MY LIFE was co-written by Adele Bertei and outspoken comedienne Sandra Bernhard and it sure is a great song. GOLDMINE was a hit and HOT TOGETHER sure sounds a lot like JUMP.
Bruce Roberts, Andy Goldmark, Glen Ballard, Peter Bunetta, Rick Chudacoff and Allee Willis all contributed as songwriters.
