Kat Mandu's I WANNA DANCE CD is a collection that features most of the 12" singles the studio group is known for.
Only two tracks from the original 1979 album, THE BREAK and DON'T STOP KEEP ON, both remixed or extended. And some later Hi-NRG numbers including a renmake of Harry Thumann's UNDERWATER.
Reading like a who's who of the Montreal dance scene - Denis and Denyse LePage, Joe LaGreca, Richard Buck, Robert Matichak and Kathleen Dyson are all featured either as musicians, composers or producers.
Note the Hi-NRG treatment given to the old DYNASTY theme song and the fabulous SPORT (written by Denis and Denyse LePage). Nice to see HOT WAX makes an appearance on CD.
And don't forget the NEW WORLD BREAK - and in case you wonder - yes it does sound like you know what. The track was written by Fritz Walton, Richie Rome and Joe LaGreca.
