Dec 02, 09 | 12:09 pmYes I do remember these CDs,too. Montreal being the homebase of Unidisc Records - we often get to see those releases even in second hand stores. These megamixes are harder to find though.

Dec 02, 09 | 8:04 amWhile searching for a CD copy of this mix, I discovered actually 3 mixes from the Unidisc label called Dance Megamix Volumes 1-3. Originally released in the mid 90's; each were mixed by different DJ's Volume 1, by DJ Andre, Volume 2 by DJ Louis George Cabazon, and Volume 3 by DJ Michel Sinard. All three are hi-NRG/Disco mixes that draw from Unidiscs acquired catalogue, all with fun track selections and decent mixing, volume 1 features a lot of Patrick Cowley tracks. All are worth checking out.

Just passing along a tip on a some quality mixes - didn't say they were groundbreaking, just fun. The track selections, though may be obvious, have rarely been released in mixed format. These are 3 solid mixes of hiNRG/Disco from the early 80's - not a lot of output from this brief period in general, but essential none the less.
