After their debut album The Plan, featuring 20 disco-pop songs with seven different female artists, independent Scandinavian label Night Dance Records releases their sixth single with none other than Carol Jiani. The legendary dance floor diva, known for her perennial hit single Hit'n Run Lover and many more, sounds as strong as ever on the new track Fighting Fire With Fire, available in four different mixes on the single.
Further cuts include the disco-rocker Be Careful What You Ask For and a surprise cover version of a little-known track by ABBA masterminds Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, I'm A Bitch When I See Red, originally recorded by Gemini, 1987.
Carol Jiani comes across as a hybrid between Nona Hendryx and Tina Turner with a forceful and in your face performance on Fighting Fire With Fire. Carol's showing a more confident and soulful side on this release. Check it out.
