Rendezvous With Me is a new song performed by the late Karen Young, best known for her outrageous vocal delivery on the classic 1978 Disco dance hit, Hot Shot. Recorded in 1978 by the late vocalist, Rendezvous With Me was intended to follow Hot Shot, but was never released in any format until now-2009. It was written specifically for Karen Young by Andy Kahn who co-wrote and co-produced Hot Shot in collaboration with legendary award-winning Philadelphia club DJ, Kurt Borusiewicz.
New tracks for Rendezvous With Me, constructed around Karen Young's original vocal tracks were created by MaxRoxx Music team members, Andy Kahn, Mitch Goldfarb and Susan Lazarus. Independent mixes were produced by UK DJ, Paul Goodyear and Philadelphia DJ, Zathan Radix. Karen's energetic, raw vocal delivery, blended with new rhythms and effect tracks, creates a unique wall of sound defined by the artist's interpretation of Rendezvous With Me.

This dramatic Tribal mix features a Male Vocal exchange between Karen Young and singer Jimmy DePre. It was created by DJ Zathan Radix and songwriter/producer Andy Kahn. It complements the 6-track release of "Rendezvous With Me" by Karen Young currently occupying a mid-chart position with a bullet on Billboard's Dance Club Chart.
Thanks to all those who've helped promote "Rendezvous With Me" by Karen Young, proving that she is more than just a One-Hit Wonder!

Billboard Magazine's Reporting DJs honored "Rendezvous With Me" with the #2 spot on the Breakouts for Dance Club Play Chart in the 4/4/09 issue. Sharing these 5 coveted positions with Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Alyssa Palmer and Enrique Iglesias, Karen finds herself in good company, one slot from the top position. Once again, Karen gets to wail on the world's dance floors in her final encore performance. This is simply beautiful. I couldn't be prouder for Karen than I am right now. You go, Karen!

I'm honored to see the new Karen Young "Rendezvous With Me" release posted here on discomusic.com. Kurt Borusiewicz did not co-write or co-produce this song with me, though. I will say, however that I wish he was here today so he could have contributed his extraordinary talent and ideas to the current release from MaxRoxx Music. I miss Kurt. I miss Karen. They were the most marvelous collaborators. And what they gave to our musical projects back in 1978 and 1979 certainly speaks for itself.
