CD REVIEW & COLLECTOR NOTES

Black Light Orchestra's 1977 album, Once Upon A Time, which was originally released in Canada on RCA Records, is reissued by Unidisc on compact disc.

Fantastic lush instrumental Disco that can be compared with Grand Tour's On Such A Winter's Day in some ways though not as mellow or somber. The last track-and the best, Touch Me, Take Me is the only track with vocals and very Cerrone-like as in Love In C-Minor. Lots of strings and brass on this recording!

The sound quality is real crisp on this and certainly appears to be from the original master tapes. If you are into instrumental and/or Canadian Disco then this Black Light Orchestra album is for you.

Sure a grand orchestra. The first track "Morricone Medley" on this CD doesn't start right from the very beginning, as I've heard it on some LP and cassette. About ten seconds of start up is missing!

I only heard it on a cassette and was totally absorbed. Indeed very crafty orchestra. Please give some sampling here so any newbie can try it before buying.
