First off, I love this Fanatix disc... "This Thing of Ours" disc oozes with soulful Disco-House tracks with wonderful vocals that won't let you go. Never repetitive or boring in anyway, but hypnotic in some ways. The Disco groove is there!
"Open Your Eyes" feat. Dionne Mitchell with the Sterling Ensemble is the first single off the album, but don't stop there... check out Love Connection and all the other tracks. Wonderfully orchestrated in an old world sort of way... quality throughout. Just check out the keyboard work on "Casa Cubana" and you'll get what I mean.
Fanatix are Aaron Ross and Neil Pierce.
Scary thing is I almost blew this one off because the CD BBE sent DiscoMusic.com arrived cracked in half thanks to the postal service. Thankfully BBE sent another and I am so happy I didn't let this one pass me by. If you love deep and soulful music then do check this new BBE release by Fanatix out when it goes on sale around April 15, 2008.
