BBE Records out of the UK throws us back to a simpler time when music was free, free to explore the soul, the mind and expand the limits of one's imagination.

The American Boogie Down, which is presented by Jerome Derradji through BBE, gives us a slick two disc set of rare soulful R & B/Disco jams. Disc One is a DJ mixed affair which gives the listener and dancer the overall mood as songs are mixed or segued from one to the next keeping the flow going.

Disco Two gives us the same, but in its pure unmixed full length state.

The American Boogie Down CD set is slated for an early 2008 release so keep your ears open for this one at Amazon or through BBE Records.

BBE has teamed up with Chicago based Still Music to bring you a slice of phenomenally rare Disco / Boogie tracks. ‘The American Boogie Down’ was compiled and mixed by Still Music label owner; Jerome Derradji with the talents of Detroit vocal legend Paul Randolph featured on the mix.

This compilation is taken from ‘Past Due Records’. Still Music’s famous disco reissue division. It includes two unreleased tracks from Chicago’s Morning After and Detroit’s Monofide.
