Soul/Heaven Above Me was sensational. It always filled the dance floor, at least at Probe.

One of my favotite singers of the 70's. I remember going to see him and his 4 seasons perform live outdoors at the Central Park skating rink. We all frooze our asses off because it was in the winter.

Outside of the obvious commercial hits the song that I loved most (and never became a commercial hit) was "Beggin"

It was an underground hustle classic that I still play today. Timebox also recorded a wonderful rendition of the same song.

Swearin' To God was a Disco Classic that Hustler's loved to dance to!

Over ten minutes of ecstacy as a long version!!!!

Frankie Valli always gave it his best. Having known him since 1972, he would sing his Four Seasons CLASSICS while playing in JERSEY clubs pre-SWEARIN' TO GOD. At the beginning of DISCO, he arranged those songs accordingly, and suddenly EVERY ONE of his FOUR SEASONS songs sounded like early DISCO! So calling him an UNLIKELY ARTIST is not really accurate. He was DISCO from the start. You should have heard SHERRY with a DISCO sound. In fact, he and The Four Seasons should have put out a DISCO VERSION album of all their sixties' classics. Isn't that something they missed on?? I think it would have been a great idea?? What do you think??
