Dec 24, 04 | 3:43 amSparks is still one of my all time favorite bands. I saw them on "In Concert" or "Don Kershner's Rock Concert" one Saturday night and they blew me away.

Feb 18, 04 | 7:47 amGiorgio Moroder joined Sparks in -78, and produced the album "Number 1 In Heaven" (recommended). He left soon, but co-produced Sparks' other disco album, "Terminal Jive" (not so recommended, except "Young Girls").
But the greatest period for Sparks was 1970-74 (cartoonish, energetic art pop, killer melodies), and OK, they may have even influenced Queen's more operatic moments. If only Q. had had Sparks' sense of humor, and been able to make listenable albums, and, and.........

300 songs on and Sparks are still going strong - now that's perseverance!
