To my knowledge Santana released two songs that could be considered disco: "One Chain (Don't Make No Prison)", off the 1978 album, "Inner Secrets," and "Dance Sister Dance (Baila Mi Hermana)", off the 1976 album, "Amigos". In my opinion, while "One Chain" clearly has certain disco elements like the strong 4:4 beat and bass line, it is not much more than discofied rock. "Dance Sister Dance," on the other hand, is a beautifully layered crescendoing piece that takes off slow, but leaves you soaring through the sky. "Dance Sister Dance" is my unlikely disco pick for Santana.
