I have a copy of a 12" promo of Dolly's "Save the last dance for me" (1983), beat break and all...

Unlikely artist? Most definitely. the Red Necks down here in Miami loved this song. I didn't. did play it once in a BLUE MOON! Or in Dolly's case two moons!

I LOVED this song, too -- and I agree that Shania Twain should be banned from singing, what with her "in your face" attitude and her Michael Jackson yelps. :)

I LOVED THIS RECORD!!! I played it at the clubs I worked at because it was such a fun (and silly) song that people always seemed to enjoy. And I must admit I was in love with the PINK 12' wax!!!!! And strangley enough, the B0side did pretty well for me also ("I Wanna Fall In Love")

Disco Dolly. Those country crossover guys never gave up, but never got it, either. Of course, even tripe like this sounds more "country" than Shania Twain does today.
