Love this one. Still hear the cool little snap-snare intro...who did the female vocals? Randy Crawford, I think. They were jazzbo's, but never sounded like they were slumming.

I saw them in concert in 1979 as a jazz band....then they wheeled out Randy Crawford and hit us with this song...........it was an amazing night....one i will never forget!
A truly great record..............

Just about everyone knew this choon in London back in '79. People even drove around with 'Streetlife' visors in their cars.

The Crusader's "Street life" is used to great effect during the opening credits of the Burt Reynold's flick "Sharkey's machine".
