Captain Beefheart

Captain Beefheart Captain Beefheart (1970s musical renegade Born January 15, 1941 -)

The Captain was by no means a disco artist, but the track "Tropical Hotdog Night" off his 1978 "Shiny Beast (Bat Chain Puller)" is a must-hear for the disco fan. It's "Like two flamingoes in a fruit fight!" to borrow a lyric from the song.

YOUR COMMENTS ON Captain Beefheart

WHO IS THIS GUY???? NEVER HEARD OF HIM???

Never heard of the Captain, eh? Look him up! He came out of the psychedelic scene of the late 60s with his own brand of poetic avante-gard jazz insanity. Other songs I recommend: "Abba Zaba," "Zig-Zag Wanderer," and "Sue Egypt." Definitely not mainstream.

By the way, the above three tracks are definitely *not* in any way related to disco.
