Carly Simon Carly Simon's disco song "Why" was released in 1982 and was featured in the movie "Soup for One" that same year. It was written by members of the group Chic. The song peaked at #74 on the Billboard Hot 100.

I love that track.While playing disco parties,i sometimes put it in and people love it.It was also used for Tribe Called Quest Bonita Applebaum

I love "Why?" also but it's hardly disco. Teddy Pendergrass also did a wonderful song called "Dream Girl" on the same soundtrack..

I love "why" but it is a sophisticated synth pop tune with an oberheim dmx drum machine.

it was a large hit here in the uk more ragga influence in there with digital synths etc...

great track.

that track was huge at a club called Berwick Manor in the early 90's when they played Rave.
