Boz ScaggsBoz Scaggs (Jazz artist)

It's been said that the producers of the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack had asked Boz Scaggs' label, Columbia, if they could use "Low Down" to which Columbia declined. Of course SNF went on to become one of the best selling movie soundtracks and Scaggs' and company lost out on a lot money and fame.

YOUR COMMENTS ON Boz Scaggs

Actual title was just "Lowdown," from "Silk Degrees," one of the best blue-eyed soul (remember that term?) LP's (remember THAT term?) of the 70's.

Another white R&B artist that is taken for disco. The song Lowdown is definitely a good song, and could be taken as disco even though it is more soul. Breakdown Dead Ahead also fits the soul/rock/disco borderline. Disco or not, these CDs are definitely good to add to your collection.

An UNLIKELY ARTIST! But his LOWDOWN was fantastic. Everyone played it, it remains a DISCO CLASSIC!!
