In 1976 Polnareff released the Disco single "Lipstick" on Atlantic Records in the US.

He wasn't really a jazz artist. He was a french pop star, but he crossed many styles. His first US release was on Kapp with No No No No No in (I think) 1966.

AiNoCorrida is right, polnareff is THE french pop star, his first success is "la poupée qui fait non" in 1966. He's a legend in france.

He is great artist since then.He is also famous in Japan. He had BIG concert in Europe 2007. President Sarkozy was enjoyed His concert in Paris.
