YOUR COMMENTS ON Dalida
She was born in Egypt in an italian family, she was elected Miss Egypt in the 50's after she came in France and she began a long and popular carrier until her death by suicide in 1987. Her best song is for me (I wasn't a fan) "Monday, thuesday" in 1979, it's a disco song. She was a Diva in France.
The much more successful and easy to find French version of that song is called Laissez-Moi Danser (let me dance). It has just been covered by a group from the French equivalent of American Idol, namely Star Academy. Is Gigi the same song as Gigi L'Amoroso? Because that is really not disco. Heard an amazing version of For The Love Of Money by her the other day though...

Gigi l'amoroso and Gigi in paradisco are not the same songs, Gigi in paradisco is a disco sequel of Gigi l'amoroso.
Oh OK, just wondered. I don't know her stuff that well, and Bernie only wrote Gigi...
